What do I need to know to have a pool in my yard?

If the pool (temporary or permanent) is capable of containing water over 24 inches deep, you must go through the building permit process.

All swimming pools capable of containing water over 24 inches deep do require approval
through the building permit process; this includes permanent and non-permanent swimming pools.

Permits must receive final approval prior to the use of the swimming pool. Code
barrier requirements, electrical requirements and setback requirements must be met for
both permanent and non-permanent style pools, please contact the Community
