Terminal Operators are prohibited to engage in the business of video gaming terminal operation, pursuant to the Illinois Video Gaming Act, without first having secured a license from the Village. A Video Terminal Operator License Application is available online. Licenses are valid on an annual basis and are effective from January 1 to December 1 of each year.
Establishments within the corporate limits of the Village of Algonquin are required to obtain a Video Gaming Terminal License per terminal/device.
Video Gaming Terminals are regulated pursuant to the Algonquin Municipal Code.
