This park is located on North Harrison Street, just east of the intersection of Main Street and Algonquin Road. Simply take Algonquin Road east to North Harrison Street and take a left; the park will be on your right.
About This Location
Riverfront Park in Algonquin spans 1.5 acres and is located right on the scenic Fox River, making it a perfect spot for an evening stroll. The park offers plenty of benches where you can relax by the water, and its gazebo hosts summer concerts organized by the Algonquin Events and Recreation Department. The gazebo is also available for rental by completing the online application. At the far end of the park, you'll find two basketball courts, perfect for a casual game of hoops.
The Village of Algonquin received an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant in 1999 from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to help develop this park facility.
Please note that the park operates from dawn to dusk, and actual opening and closing times may vary slightly based on the time of year.
