Permanent fire pits require a building permit and final inspection. Portable fire pits must follow certain size and placement guidelines prior to use. Bonfires and open burning is prohibited unless approved by the applicable Fire Protection District.

Parking of recreational vehicles (RVs) on public property including right-of-way and sidewalks is prohibited. The Algonquin Municipal Code regulates storage of RVs, boats, etc. on private property as detailed below.

Trees in the parkway are maintained by the Village. Property owners are responsible for maintaining trees on their property.
