The spirit of volunteerism among the residents of Algonquin is one of the village’s greatest assets of our community! No matter what your talents, gifts or interests, there are many rewarding ways you can give back to your community through volunteerism.

Boards and Commissions:  Residents are encouraged to submit an application to serve on one of the village’s many boards and commissions, including the Economic Development Commission, Electrical Commission, Historic Commission, Planning & Zoning Commission, Police Commission, Police Pension Board, and Public Arts Commission.  Applications can be submitted to the Village Clerk’s Office below.  Appointments are made by the entire Village Board annually or when vacancies occur.
