The Village of Algonquin, IL

The Police Commission is involved with promotions and conduct of hearings or charges brought against members of the Algonquin Police Department and not to the conduct of examinations for original appointments.

This Commission shall consist of three (3) members who are Village residents. The Commission meets the third Wednesday of January, April, July, and October at 6:30 p.m. at Ganek Municipal Center, 2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin.

Residents are encouraged to submit an application to serve on one of the Village’s many Boards and Commissions. Applications can be submitted to the Village Clerk’s Office below.  Appointments are made by the entire Village Board annually or when vacancies occur.
