Groot Offers Free Christmas Tree Collection in January.
Groot will collect Christmas trees at no charge during your regular collection day throughout January (no sticker required).
Make sure your tree is uncovered and free of foreign materials to qualify for disposal. Holiday lights may be recycled at the Ganek Municipal Center (2200 Harnish Drive) during seasonal collection period. Learn more about the Holiday Lights Recycling Program.
Tree Collection Guidelines
Use the following guidelines to successfully dispose of trees following the holidays:

| Place at curb before 7:00 a.m. | Place at curb after 7:00 a.m. |
| Keep the tree uncovered. | Cover the tree with a bag. |
| Remove all lights and decorations. | Leave lights or decorations on the tree. |
| Cut the tree in half if it is six (6) feet or more tall. | Cut the tree in half if it is less than six (6) feet tall. |
| Clear snow or debris away from tree prior to collection. | Leave covered with snow, ice or debris before collection. |
