Since inception, the holiday lights recycling program has diverted over 100,000 lbs. of lights from landfills across more than 20 communities.
The Village of Algonquin is offering a Holiday Lights Recycling Program for residents, in partnership with Elgin Recycling. This program provides a convenient way to recycle unwanted holiday lights, reducing waste and environmental impact during the holiday season.
Drop-Off Location: Ganek Municipal Center (2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, IL 60102)
Dates: Monday, November 25, 2024 through Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
