Join Us for Miracle on Main December 7 Kick off the holiday season in Old Town Algonquin on Saturday, December 7! Activities will begin between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. and continue into the evening. Arrive early to enjoy the Merry Market, which opens at 3:00 p.m. Bring friends and family to celebrate this festive tradition together!
Village Offices Closed December 24 & 25 The Ganek Municipal Center and Public Works Facility will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the holiday. Groot refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day for the entire week.
Ice Sculpture Showdown The countdown to Algonquin’s Miracle on Main event has begun! Officer Panozzo Honored with Life Saving Award At the Village Board meeting on November 12, Chief Walker presented Officer Panozzo with a Life Saving Award for his heroic actions. Officer Panozzo performed CPR on an individual in critical need until fire department personnel arrived. His swift response saved a life, and the individual made a full recovery.

Winter Parking Regulations Winter parking regulations are in effect through April 15. Parking is prohibited on public streets between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Additionally, vehicles cannot park on streets after a snowfall of 2 inches or more until the snow has been completely cleared.
Sidewalk Snow Removal As a reminder, residents must clear snow and ice from sidewalks within 24 hours after a snowfall has ended. Let’s work together to keep Algonquin’s sidewalks safe and accessible for everyone this winter. Learn more about Algonquin’s Property Care Guidelines at the link below.
