The Village of Algonquin, IL

The Village of Algonquin will begin the Dixie Creek Reach 5 Rehabilitation Project in Summer 2024, with an expected completion by Fall 2025, weather permitting. This project will rehabilitate Reach 5 of Dixie Creek through streambank stabilization and ecological restoration. The work will be performed in coordination with the Braewood Lift Station improvement project.

Project Overview:

• Restoration of 700 linear feet of Dixie Creek
• Repairing and reinforcing eroded banks to enhance creek stability
• Naturalization of streambank with native plantings

Please exercise caution in the work zone. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout the construction period.

• Reach 5 of Dixie Creek, south of Gaslight Drive, between Spring Hill Drive and Braewood Drive
