Algonquin Celebrates Grand Reopening of James B. Wood Park The Village of Algonquin recently celebrated the grand reopening of James B. Wood Park, showcasing a new playground, basketball court, and pavilion. Designed to be inclusive, the nature-themed playground ensured all children could play together. With support from State Senator Don DeWitte and Representative Suzanne Ness, the park's upgrades reflected Algonquin's commitment to enhancing recreational amenities and quality of life.
Holder Park Reopens with New Improvements The Village of Algonquin proudly announced the grand reopening of Holder Park, featuring new playground equipment, a refurbished baseball backstop, and an updated basketball court. The playground, now with a first-responder theme, honored Officer Larry Holder and ensured a modern, inclusive area for all children.
Groot Service Price Changes Starting September 1 New sticker and cart prices for Groot services go into effect September 1. Stickers previously purchased will continue to be honored.

Water Conservation Regulations In June, Algonquin’s water conservation status was updated to Yellow. With this change, even/odd watering restrictions are now in effect: even-numbered addresses may water on even calendar days, and odd-numbered addresses on odd days, during permitted hours.
