Algonquin Recognizes Ted Spella Leadership School 2024 Graduates
The Village of Algonquin is proud to announce the graduation of its Ted Spella Leadership School’s Class of 2024. The graduation ceremony took place on April 13 at the Ganek Municipal Center and marked the successful completion of a rigorous eight-month leadership development program.
Named after former Algonquin Village President Ted Spella, the Ted Spella Leadership School seeks to bring together a cross section of participants who are eager to expand their community involvement. The program is designed for both "up and coming" leaders and existing leaders who want to enhance their roles in the community.
Additional program goals include introducing participants to key community leaders and organizations, establishing a network of contacts, providing education and training in leadership skills and ethics, and providing participants with an enjoyable experience as they enhance their roles as leaders, gain personal and professional growth, and form lasting friendships.
"The Village is proud to celebrate the graduation of such a promising group from the Ted Spella Leadership School," said Debby Sosine, Village President and graduate of the Ted Spella Leadership School. "Their journey is just at its beginning, and the Algonquin community will welcome their future successes."
The graduating class of 2024 includes 11 graduates who have demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. The graduates are Jeremy Alt, Raymond Auger, Christie Gabriel, Robin Garity, Crystal Greco, Nicole Kunkle, Nicole Lewis, Elijah Popilek, Summer Richards, Mark Stevens, and Darlene Ulmer-Hanssler. They are poised to take on leadership roles in various community groups and organizations in the Algonquin area.
The Ted Spella Leadership School has a long and proud tradition of producing outstanding leaders. Since its 2004 inception, the program has graduated 74 participants who have gone on to make significant contributions to their communities.
