  • Phone:
    847-658-2700

The water system status informs residents and businesses about landscape watering restrictions. The water conservation status regulates the use of outside water for the purposes of watering landscape material. Watering is strictly enforced in Algonquin.

The current status (as of June 3, 2024) is Even/Odd (Yellow).

CONSERVATION

Conservation status is the normal status and is always in effect unless elevated to a more restrictive level. Green status indicates that outside water use is permitted except for watering landscaping and lawns, which is prohibited between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

EVEN/ODD

Yellow status indicates even/odd days for watering before 9:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. Even addresses may only water on even calendar days and odd addresses may only water on odd calendar days, before 9:00 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m.

EVEN/ODD
6:00-9:00 AM

Orange status indicates even/odd days for watering only between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Even addresses may only water on even calendar days and odd addresses may only water on odd calendar days from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

RESTRICTED

Restricted status indicates no outside water use is allowed at any time. This includes all use of water outside, such as washing vehicles, power washing, and watering landscaping.

The Village of Algonquin has an assistance plan for new construction watering. If your watering usage is expected to be different, please visit here for more details.
