Towne Park in Algonquin spans 12 acres and is tucked away in the heart of the Village, surrounded by a dense tree line that offers a sense of seclusion. To access the park, visitors cross a charming footbridge over Crystal Creek, leading to a space perfect for a day of outdoor relaxation. The park features large fields for team sports, a baseball diamond, a spacious pavilion with picnic tables, basketball courts, and an all-wooden playground shaped like a castle. The pavilion is available for rental by completing the online application. Restroom facilities are also available for added convenience. Located just off Main Street, the park is conveniently close to downtown dining options.

The Prairie Trail, owned and maintained by the McHenry County Conservation District, intersects Towne Park, providing bicyclists with a convenient connection from other parts of the county to Algonquin.

Please note that the park operates from dawn to dusk, and restroom facilities are generally open from May 1 to October 15, weather permitting.
