About This Location

Algonquin Lakes Park in Algonquin spans 35 acres of dynamic outdoor space, offering something for everyone. Whether you're looking to bike along the amazing network of paths that wind through the connecting neighborhoods and lead to the wetland lakes, watch your kids laugh and play on one of the two playgrounds, or join a friendly game on the baseball fields or tri-basketball court, this park is the perfect place to connect with nature and neighbors. There’s even a gazebo for shade when you need a break from the sun, and plenty of room in the surrounding fields for soccer or football. The picnic shelter, located near the restrooms, is a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal.

The Village of Algonquin received an Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant in 2002 from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to help develop this beautiful park.

Please note that the park operates from dawn to dusk, and restroom facilities are open from approximately May 1 to October 15, weather permitting.
