The Village of Algonquin, IL

The Village of Algonquin has established a Police Pension Fund, as required by state statute, to provide financial benefits for its police officers, their surviving spouses, children, and other eligible dependents. Administration of the fund is overseen by a five-member Police Pension Board, which includes appointees selected by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Village Board. At least one appointee must be a Village resident. The Police Pension Board holds quarterly meetings in January, April, July, and October at 5:00 p.m.
