The Village of Algonquin, IL

The Village of Algonquin is proud to present the winners of the 2024 Algonquin Business Awards. The program was restarted this year and aims to recognize outstanding contributions and achievements of local businesses during the past year.

Nominations for the business awards can be received by staff or the public, and recipients are selected by the Economic Development Commission.

The business community gathered at Cucina Bella in Old Town Algonquin on Monday, January 13, 2025, to celebrate the achievements of the 2024 Business Awards recipients. During the award presentation, an overview of the Business Award Program was given and award recipients were personally presented with their awards by Village President Debby Sosine and the Economic Development Commission.

2024 Award Recipients:

Rehabilitation & Improvement Award—America's Antique Mall, located at 2451 South Randall Road, for converting a vacant commercial space into a venue hosting over 500 vendors offering collectibles, furniture, homemade goods, and more.

Architectural Design Award—Atomic Car Wash, located at 2241 East Algonquin Road, for the project’s exemplary architectural design and use of materials.

Community Economic Impact Award—CarMax, located at 2401 North Huntington Drive, for the project’s significant contribution to the local economy and its positive impact on the Algonquin community.

Community Service Award—Downtown Algonquin Association, for their dedication and commitment to supporting and strengthening the business community in Old Town Algonquin.

Project of the Year Award—Red Mountain Group, for their significant efforts at Algonquin Commons on the southwest corner of Randall Road and County Line Road, resulting in increased occupancy and an estimated 5.6 million annual visits.
